Day 3
I slept much better last night. I stayed up later and watched some movies on-line. I fell asleep sooner and woke up less often to empty my bladder (I'm 60 after all. It goes with the territory). In short, I feel more rested today than yesterday.
I stepped on my scale this morning. It was showing my weight to be ~4 pounds less than two days ago. I'm not saying I've lost 4 pounds of body fat in two days. More than likely its indicative of loss of water weight. None the less, it is nice to see the needle of the scale heading in my desired direction.
My hunger pangs are greatly diminished, as expected. At this stage, ketosis is starting to become the primary source of cellular energy for my body.
If you'd like to read an good primer on the stages of fasting, here is an excellent on-line primer, written by Dr. Group of the Global Healing Center.
